My latest challenge is to fill the hole left from this radiator, in the bathroom. You cannot drywall it, they do not make these exact tiles anymore, so...
Off to my workshop to make a custom mosaic masterpiece, that will fit into the black tile frame that is already there. I'm going with a leaf motif, and will be using up lots of odds & ends tiles that I have laying around.
We have been busy with other things, of course. The kitchen counters are ready for a new top, too bad we can't find one we like to fit our budget. I really want a butcher block top, but they are very expensive. I did hear that IKEA has them, so we might be making a trip out to Canton, ugh...
Finally hung Sandy's curtains, after lots of starts and stops, faulty curtain rods, broken end caps, and rods too big for the curtain pockets... we finally got it right.
Sometimes it seems that the things that should be the easiest, turn out to be the most challenging.
We've also been busy filling more holes left from radiators (seems never ending), preparing the second floor for carpet (coming next Friday), and painting more ceilings.
This weekend is going to be all about painting the upstairs, two rooms, and a large hallway space. I do not want to be painting once the carpet is in. Also, drilling new holes for modern doorknobs on all of the doors upstairs, fixing a leaky window, and planing attic access doors to open over carpet.
Carry on.........
