So Close to Done

Still working on the details,

 but the vanity is pretty much done.

There are molding pieces that still need to go on.

 

Hung my little painting over the mirror.

 

It's coming together,

we're in the homestretch...

A Sink and a Mirror, Hooray

 

Finish molding being stained

 and polyurethaned for the vanity.

Terry added a bottom to the inside of the vanity,

against my direct orders...

 

but he's right in the end. (insert smiley face here).

 

Put the sink back in, and hung the mirror...

 

It almost took longer to hang a mirror,

 than it did to put in the shower (ha ha).

 

Uh oh, a leak, damn it...

Sinks Need Water...

 

We made some progress on the bathroom this weekend.

 

The vanity is actually floating,

but we liked the look of these giant ball legs.

 

Cut the hardwood countertop,

now to cut the hole for the sink.

 

 

Perfect cut.

 

Sink placement.

Making sure everything is ready for plumbing.

 

Uh oh, there's the plumbing crap...

 

I sense a lot of swearing in the coming days.

 

I finished the grout on the shower curb.

 

I couldn't just but the faucet,

I had to get a mirror and a new rug too.

 

Stain and 5000 coats of polyurethane

 going on the countertop.

Bathroom Vanity

 

The vanity is going in !!!

 

While Terry works on that,

 I am working on some finish stuff...

 

There's the sink,

can't wait to select the faucet,

and the mirror.

 

We should get a lot done this weekend...

Barn Door

 

Well, Terry's special order hardware finally

 arrived for the bathroom door, and now it is up.

 

The door slides open and closed,

 rather than a standard hinged door swing.

 

There's the hardware that the door rolls on.

This is the barn door approach

 that I spoke about in earlier posts.

 

It is a great way to install a door in a small space,

without doing the whole "pocket door" thing.

 

Still waiting on that vanity.........
