Day #13 Bath Redo

Terry worked a half day today,
(which is really 7 hours since he worked from 5 til noon).

When he got home we drove out to the plumbing store
to figure out what to do about the bathtub plumbing.

We found some nice fixtures
that work with the 65 year old plumbing.

The plumbing took longer than expected,
because we decided that the shower head should be raised.

Shorty wanted to see what was going on...

We raised the shower head up six inches...
seemed like the right thing to do.

Even though we are short,
future tenants might be tall...

We tested the plumbing to make sure there were no leaks.

Finally ready for the plastic vapor barrier.

With that done,
we hung our first slab of backerboard.

Then the battery for the drill died,
so while it recharged
Terry cut the hole for the niche.

At ten p.m. we lit a small fire and
talked about what we need to accomplish tomorrow.

There's the niche insert.

I am going to HATE tiling this thing...

Tomorrow,
we hang the rest of the backer board.
