Scrappers Delight

My mother gave me two chairs (I know, only one in pic, but there are two). These aren't just any old chairs, these are special chairs. They used to sit on the porch at my grandparents house, in Detroit. I remember sitting in them as a small child.
Eventually, they came to my mother's house, and I remember sitting in them on her back patio, watching my own kids play in her yard.
Now they are at my house. One is stationary, and the other is a rocker. I love the rocker. You will never find a chair like this today. Never.

There they are, sitting on Grandma & Grandpa's porch, on Burt Road, in Detroit.
Thanks Mom.

Here's one more icky job for Terry, digging out this glob of cement, left from the clothes line pole...

and there's the pole. I have a dryer. No need for a clothes line.

More scrapper's delight.
I believe there were twenty radiators at final count. They have been taking up space in the garage ever since we tore them out to make way for forced air heating.

Here are the scrappers who are giving Terry his garage back.
Scrapping metals is not for the meek. That crap (I mean scrap) is heavy.

"Scrapper's Delight"
Now what you hear is not a test: I'm scrappin in the heat
me, my boys, and their two friends are gonna try to move some sheet
You see, I am iron Mike and I do my job well
To the tin, to the brass, the aluminum, the copper and metal
But first I gotta bang bang the junk in the truck
Say up junk, the junk to the junk truck...

 That was for Bobby.

Now Terry has some room to move.

Next up, new garage doors !!!

Privacy fence update...
I don't think I've ever heard Terry raise his voice on the phone before. But he's what you would call, "hopping mad". He made some progress today, dealing with the installer, the salesman, the go-between Lowes person, and the city inspector.

I do believe we are making progress.
