Saving my Pennies

I thought it would be nice to remind myself of how far we've come on "Project House".
This nasty dining room was so offensive to me. The pea green color of paint and the awful asbestos tile was too much. But look at it now. It is my favorite room in the house...

New flooring, new window, new lighting, my recycled shelving, a nice neutral color, and all of my favorite things, make this room comfy and inviting.

The kitchen was original to 1940. We tore out the asbestos flooring, painted the cupboards (painted everything), new lighting, new tile backsplash, new butcher block counter, new faucet...

installed a dishwasher and garbage disposal, new faucet, cabinet hardware, and all new appliances.

It looks good, but this kitchen still needs major work. After Robin saves up some pennies, it will get all new cabinetry, a farmhouse sink, modern countertops, a pantry, and a new window.

For now, it's good enough to whip out one of Robin's 10 minute meals...

but, Robin always wants more...

Robin needs more pennies.
