Good Deeds

Robin put on her cleaning hat, and this mess...

turned into a kitchen sink.

This amazing mess...

turned back into a kitchen table.

This was gross, but...

turned back into a stove.

My very first conquest, today, was turning this back into an end table.
I don't know, and don't even care what all of those remotes are for.

I've never actually seen a "bookworm" before. Now I have.

Here's the living room after a whole day of cleaning. I spent hours on the entertainment center, and I brought in a new area rug from home. The curtains still need washing...

and the couches are going to be replaced with our hand-me-downs.

Here is where Terry spent the day. I spent the day with my hands in bleach, and he spent the day with his hands in sewage. He worked on replacing the toilet, which was (of course) more than he bargained for. It is working now, but nothing else is. The kitchen sink and the bathtub are clogged; run the kitchen water, bathtub backs up, run the bath water, the sink backs up.

In the middle of all this, the brother calls and says the hospital is releasing him tomorrow !!!

We are going to call our favorite guys, "All About Plumbing" to help out.

I am a little disappointed. I couldn't even get my bleach bottle near this bathroom. I could not get in there and clean it up, and I fear that once the brother gets home, I won't be able to do any more.

This particular "project house" is much more than we bargained for. The owner/brother will probably not be receptive to our help once he is home.

I guess, we'll see how he reacts to what we have done, and hopefully he will let us keep helping him out.

Today was a good, busy day. We started out by taking crates of dog food, and treats (from the brother's house) to the local shelter (they were very appreciative). We stopped at mom's and picked up this cute ceramic pumpkin (he likes his new home). We worked all afternoon on brother's house. Ran home (Sandy made dinner :), and went back to work some more.

It's tired... but it's good tired.
