Back down in the basement. We got some buckets of White paint, and started freshening up the walls. Goal number one, down here, is to get rid of the stink.
After we painted the walls, we laid down some primer for the floor paint.
We're going to do 1/2 the basement floor at a time. I love painting the floor. it's actually fun. Tomorrow, the primer should be dry, and I can put the first coat of paint the floor.
Just a reminder, for anyone who questions our simple, and cheap basement fix...
When we bought the house (last Winter), there was sitting water, and water damage (mold) all around the basement. When Spring rolled around, water seemed to be leaking in from everywhere; through the base, through the concrete walls, and dripping down from under the porch. Terry has gutted the entire basement, ridding it of all moldy wood, paneling, and floor tiles. He has also fixed the gutters outside, and improved the conditions that made basement flooding possible.
When Summer came, the water dried up, and we haven't had any water in the basement since.
That being said, we have no idea what Springtime will bring, so we are going to go with some real simple clean-up techniques until we find out if we are dry, or soaked, come Spring.
Floor painting tomorrow, and, oh yes... new garage doors. Off I go to bed, cause the garage guys will be here first thing in the morning.
