We called cement contractors, and apparently no one has the time for a small job such as this. Just two standard sidewalk slabs. Terry got fed up and decided to try out the cement business himself.
It cost $100 for the supplies. Eight bags of cement per slab, pea gravel, trowels, and leveling tools.
I can do this, it's just like frosting a cake.
Actually, I came out to help around the fifth bag of cement, because the Lone Ranger needed back-up. His face was red-hot, and I could tell that he was overdoing it.
We finished one slab, and I have forbade him from doing the other slab until he: a) buys an electric mixer, b) gets an EKG, to prove he's healthy enough, or c) adopts a teenage boy who dreams of working with his dad on projects.
The slab needs to cure, but the dogs want out, and rain is looming. Terry is trying to barricade the new cement, and find tarps in case of rain.
Looks good. Add cement work to our resume'.
