Let There Be Light

We woke up to another a snowstorm this morning, but we did not sit around looking out the window. For some reason, we were super-charged. You never know when it's going to come, but some days, all the stars seem to align, and you get up, and get moving, and have a good day.

This morning, we rearranged (and cleaned) our bedroom. After that adrenalin rush, we decided to take care of a long forgotten little area...

The back entryway.

We've been in the house for six months already, and we did put in a new door (six months ago). Everything else has been sitting untouched ever since. Yellow walls, a ripped out light fixture, and finish molding leaned up against the wall, in the corner.

The funny thing is, I was cooking dinner and the kitchen light went out, so we changed the bulb, and then Terry said, "Hey, want me to put up the new light in the entryway?" We had bought this light fixture months ago, but never seemed to find the time to put it in.

I said, "Yeah, let's do it".

And one thing led to another. After the light went up, Terry hung the door molding, and after dinner, I painted the entryway and the door frame.

I can't believe, after all this time, looking at this crappy back door,
we took care of it in one evening.

The light fixture matches the kitchen one, and it looks great. Everything is bright, clean White...

NOW... I need to figure out what to do with this floor.............
