Year in Review

Here we are, one year later. We closed on "Project House" one year ago this week. It has been quite a ride. Sometimes it feels like we aren't getting anywhere, but when we take a look back through pictures, we have done a lot of shit !!!

I thought I would spend a day looking back at the beginnings, and the work days...

Enjoy.

The first day.

Awesome tile, in circa 1949 bath.

Old boiler... shot.

We still call it the death room ( dead racoon under the stairs).

60 year old Stanley doors.

Basement demo.

Terry's so tired.

Bobby at work.

Eww.

New bathroom vanity.

Seven old pine trees came down.

Running forced air to the second story.

Central air going in.

Kitchen redo.

The basement will be an ongoing nightmare.

Details.

Details.

Details.

More demo.

Plumbing issues.

More plumbing issues.

Waiting for a privacy fence.

Those doors are getting replaced.

Here comes the fence.

Some sidewalk slabs.

A little art.

He's just cute.

He's building me something...

He's taking care of business.

Preparing for a new project.

This past year has been wow. We never thought that we would be able to accomplish the things we have, but we did. And we actually have some fun doing the things that seem insurrmountable.

I thought I had a purpose for buying this old house, but it turns out that I really didn't. I just wanted to move on to a new project.

Welcome to"Project House".

Not to worry, it's not all ugly... I'll post some triumphs next...
