This and That... and a Big Project Looming

A rogue zucchini seed seems to have planted itself in the crack off the back porch.
We are letting it grow as long as it wants to.
Today it blossomed and I can't bear to get rid of it.

Big, big, big, news alert.
We are ready to redo the main floor bathroom.

We are researching, and planning, and discussing,
and arguing, and trying to figure out a game plan
for attacking this major project that we have put off, and put off...

out of fear.

Gutting this 1950's bathroom means a demolition project that is worse than putting it back together.

The walls beneath the tile are sheathed in mortar and steel mesh and even more mortar.

So is the floor.

This isn't our only consideration.
The other problem with this major deconstruction and renovation is that this bathroom sits right in the middle of the kids bedrooms...
Their main bathroom will be out of order for a couple of months.

This is going to be the longest and ugliest project we have undertaken in Project House.

This one isn't just about hard work, it's going to be about displacing two angry tenants from their daily bathroom routine.

This huge project is looming large, and it's going to happen...

After discussing bathroom remodeling for a while, Terry built me a birdhouse and I baked a cake.

Anything to not think about how scared we are of this project.

There's another birdhouse on the way.

This is a good way to use up all of the leftover cedar from building our fence.

This is a Ninebark plant.

50% off at English Gardens.

Finished birdhouse.

I will get a picture in the daylight...
