Those are racoon eyes !!!
Apparently, they like mulberries,
because a family of them is busy up in the trees every night.
Who knows where they spend their days...
Today's rain brought down some large branches
from the giant elm tree next store.
It's kind of funny,
this is just like our last house.
We have no trees in our backyard (we had them all taken down).
But we always have the neighboring trees falling in our yard.
In our last house, one fell on my car,
and one fell on our fence,
at least this one fell in open area...
I just couldn't leave that birdhouse alone,
so I did a little late night painting.
Terry put some sealer on it,
and it is drying.
