Weekend in Review

Friday night... Cheesy bacon pretzel dogs. Yum.

Pulled out the grill and cleaned it up.
The grates were pretty nasty, but she's ready to roll.

Terry's son Nick stopped by with our tickets for his graduation from Wayne State.
Always love a visit from my favorite stepson.

Made a couple of make-ahead-meals for easy reheating.

Terry finished the bannister on the basement stairs.

Shorty wanted to play ball with Dad.

I did five loads of laundry.

The baby trees we planted are all starting to bloom.
This is a Cleveland Pear.

Forsythia at the back of the property.

Serviceberry. Can't wait to see these blooms.

Here's the beginning of Project #3.
Bought 125 feet of 6 inch molding for the living room, dining room, and kitchen.

We've been putting this off for two years
because of the cost, and the difficulty of disrupting the
whole house to install it.

But we're finally doing it.

Can't wait to get this done...

Terry's working on all of the special miter cuts now,
and difficult transition places, like this one.

Tonight, we went and bought another 125 feet of finish shoe molding,
that will be added in front of the base molding.

The price tag for all of this molding
reminded me of why we put off this project for so long.

Terry will be working on the molding throughout the week,
after work, and in between doing errands for people,

and he has a prostate biopsy scheduled on Thursday.

Sometimes, I don't know how we do what we do,
with everything else that gets in the way.

But we do...

We are the slowest house flippers ever.
